I am a highly qualified and inspiring teacher, with a PhD in Shakespeare and extensive teaching experience from primary to secondary, as well as consistent success in private tutoring.

I have demonstrable experience (and testimonials) in raising exam performance: my most recent students improved from C-B to A* at A-Level English Literature, from D-A* at AS-level English Literature and from a 3 to a 6 in GCSE English (in both Language and Literature). Several of my students have achieved 100% at A-level for the modules I taught them, and I have successfully coached many students for entry to Oxford University to read English Literature.

I have taught every year group, from nursery class to university level, and have worked as an educational consultant in Japan, developing the curriculum for a primary school.

My advanced study in Shakespeare and literature instils my English teaching not only with exceptional subject knowledge, but a passion for the material that enthuses my students.
