Hi, I`m Kate, a full-time, professional tutor based in Petersfield (MA in Medieval and Modern Languages from St John`s College, Oxford). I design tailored learning plans to help students achieve their potential.
In 2021 100% of my A-Level students achieved grade A*.
You can enter for a GCSE or A-Level with me directly, or have extra tuition to support your studies at school, college or university.
I offer private tuition and intensive course programmes to build fluency in Spanish, German, English, Portuguese, Italian, French, Catalan and Dutch.
No matter what your level, your lessons will be full of real-world language and will deliver the content and vocabulary that you need to achieve your goals.
Availability: I teach on weekdays and also run evening classes.

Experience: I started my teaching career in 2008 with the Government of Andorra, where I held the post of Lecturer of English.
Since then, I have taught privately and at colleges in several European countries: Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal and Italy, and have mostly lived in Spain since 2009.
I am now tutoring full-time online and have a mix of students learning for professional, academic and personal goals.
MY APPROACH TO TUTORING
Each course is 100% bespoke and personalised to the needs of the student.
Your course is designed for you, based on a short questionnaire and/or initial consultation to set clear goals for you and help me to understand your learning style.
Lessons often feel relaxed and fairly casual, because in my experience this is absolutely the best way to encourage real communication and thought in the target language!

Kate is a wonderful tutor. She is enthusiastic, motivating, organised and patient. Although the lesson style is structured the tuition feels casual and fun. Kate is always keen to give good tips for fast-track learning. Her ever cheerful demeanour and affable style makes me dread the concluding moments of a lesson as I know won`t have a lesson for another 7 days. When I first started my lessons I was hugely concerned that I was too old to learn a new language but Kate has convinced me that it is not impossible and that a GCSE is an achievable target in my middle age. I thoroughly recommend Kate as a tutor.
