Information about Daanyaal

Passionate, experienced, award winning Imperial Medical student teaching GCSE Mathematics & Sciences
Also provides mentoring for prospective medical students with the application process: UKCAT,,BMAT, Personal statement & Interviews.

**FIRST LESSON FREE**

Lessons are taught on a topic per session basis as this improves attention and also makes sure you/r child leaves with a firm understanding of what they have learned.

Students are given homework to reinforce concepts learnt and as an introduction for new topics. I try to make sure students understand why the work is given to them so they strive to improve both inside and outside the sessions. I also send a lesson report after every session.

I work on making sure your child leaves with the requisite skills they need to continue achieving good grades and build a strong CV long after they finish being tutored.

Availability: With Coronavirus I am practically available everyday from 12pm onwards until 28th September.
After that I will be available from 5pm onwards every day except Wednesday.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: UKCAT & BMAT: At College alone I taught a class of 40 students how to do the UKCAT & BMAT. My class` were so oversubscribed students would sit on the floor to attend.
I still teach UKCAT & BMAT to this day with some of my students increasing their UKCAT score by 600 over 4 weeks(a notoriously difficult exam to increase your score in). I guarantee students will increase their UKCAT & BMAT score with me.

Medicine: Getting into medicine is tough, especially if you don`t know anyone who is a Dr/Medical student. That is why with a group of friends, I was head of the Future medical society at College, mentoring students on the application process, how to get experience and what experience is useful, how to write your personal statement to guarantee an interview and what universities are looking for.
Some of my students are now with me at Imperial while others have gone to other medical schools including Southampton, Bristol and Kings.
I have been mentoring students for 3 years now.

Sciences: I mentor students on biology at A-level with my students doing a range of courses including, Chemistry, Biology, Medicine & Dentistry at the following universities: Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, Kings, Bristol & Southampton.
I have been teaching some of these students since I was in college, where I was a mentor in the biology department. My students consistently perform well, most have A or A*s when they finish their A-levels and go on to get 1st or 2:1s at degree level.

Mathematics: I currently have 5 students who are studying maths with me. Many of my students are sittings their exams early. I focus on making sure students understand the fundamental basics behind mathematics as this is where students often lack understanding/have forgotten key concepts. I have been teaching maths to students for 3 years now.

11+: The 11+ is notoriously difficult exam which I sat myself when I was young. Recognising the lack of quality 1 to 1 tutoring in the field despite the vast number of resources, I started tutoring for the 11+ last year with my students set to take the exam this November.

Extra curricular:
I have won multiple awards at both School and College for both academic excellence and contribution to the institutions I studied in.
At Secondary school I won 3 leavers awards, one languages award as the only student with an A* in both languages at GCSE and one headteachers award, for my contribution to school life as a house captain and public speaker.
At A level I received two gold medals in the biology olympiad and one bronze in the chemistry olympiad. These are exams set by the royal societies for students to exemplify their ability.
I recieved 2A* and 2As at A-level.
As a medical student I am DBS certified.
