I’m a professional physicist working at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, one of the world’s leading centres for scientific research and home to the Large Hadron Collider.

I offer high-quality one-to-one tuition in GCSE and A-Level Physics and Mathematics, bringing experience from an environment where advanced physics, mathematics and problem-solving are part of my everyday work.

At CERN, I work with particle accelerators and contribute to experimental research alongside physicists and engineers from around the world. This allows me to give students something beyond conventional tutoring: an understanding of how the physics and mathematics they learn at school connects to real science and some of the most advanced technology in the world.

My aim is not simply to teach students how to pass an exam. I want them to develop a genuine understanding of the subject, become confident problem-solvers and learn how to approach difficult questions logically and independently.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student. I can help students who need to rebuild their confidence and strengthen the fundamentals, as well as ambitious students targeting grades 8–9 at GCSE or A/A* at A-Level.

Experience: My Tutoring Experience

I have 10 years of experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level Physics and Mathematics, working with students across a wide range of abilities, from those struggling with the fundamentals to high-achieving students aiming for the very top grades.

Over those 10 years, I’ve learned that the best tuition is never one-size-fits-all. I adapt my lessons to each student, identifying gaps in their knowledge, breaking difficult concepts into manageable steps and building their confidence until they can tackle problems independently.

I place a strong emphasis on genuine understanding alongside exam technique. Students should understand why a method works, but they also need to know how to apply that knowledge effectively under exam conditions, recognise common question types and communicate their working clearly.

Having progressed into a professional career as a physicist at CERN, I can now bring my experience working at one of the world’s leading scientific research organisations directly into my teaching. I believe the combination of 10 years of tutoring experience and professional experience at the forefront of physics allows me to offer students an exceptionally high standard of tuition.
