My Style:
My experiences working with children has allowed me to understand that every child achieves differently. This means to achieve the best grades for your child, I will work with them to identify weaknesses and help them understand the process of learning, not just the right answer. I find it easy to build rapport with students, and consider myself a creative teacher that uses a good sense of humour and a friendly attitude to make the learning process enjoyable. To help your child specifically, we will create personalised `Progress Plans` whereby we can identify areas of difficulty and work towards certain goals.

Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have over 2 years of experience working in a range of schools, including secondary, primary and SEND.
Due to my current employment as a secondary school teaching assistant, I am familiar with the Maths and Science syllabus and understand the main challenges students face. For example, I am responsible for leading Mathematics intervention sessions for students identified needing extra support. Thus far, I have helped over 70 KS3 students improve their Maths test score by an average of 80%. I also organise intervention sessions for GCSE students, working on perfecting exam techniques and conceptual understanding.
Life skills do not always come from the classroom. This is why I have worked with students in the community to build social skills, such as supporting work experience in a cafe and founding an `Eco Club`. As a result, I aim to support each one of my pupils both academically and socially, to help them be the best version of themselves they can be.
Feel free contact me if you would like a chat or to arrange a tutoring session.
