I think is very important transmit your passion to the students. I have been a teacher for many years in Italy but when I moved in UK I decided to work as TA. I worked as TA for four years in both special need school and mainstream school. It was amazing experience that enriched my knowledge and my teaching philosophy.
Work as a support staff is a great opportunity to learn how to help students to believe in their skills and how to build up their academy future. I am currently working as Maths Lecturer at College but I would like to explore the online field. I have a long experience in both side of the teaching side, I can understand students¿ academic problems and help them to find a solution.
In my work experience I have learnt to be inquisitive and I am currently using this method in my maths lesson. Students like to be involved in lesson and they like learn not just from the theory but from the real experience. They need to feel involve into the learning process and the learning process needs to be dynamic and fun. My teaching method involve visual strategies as much as possible, I like to create PPT to delivery my lesson and involve all my students into a discussion or re contextualize into an historic prospective the topic that we are learning. I like to use mind map on the board to help students to memorize the mathematical process. I use very often what I call Analysis, which is a deep analysis of the exam paper, going through questions by questions and analysed words and how to interpreted them again, leaving free the students to answer, even if the answer could be wrong. I am very friendly person and I like to work in a team and sharing ideas and education strategies to support students to achieve their goals. I like to explore and develop my skills.
