Psychology (BSc) at Durham University-
High 2:1, with a grade of 84% in statistics for psychology.

Applied Neuropsychology (MSc) at the University of Bristol
Distinction

I would make a great tutor because I am a patient, friendly and meticulous individual who has a genuine passion for the subjects I will be tutoring.

In order to help my students, I would adopt a two-pronged approach: Getting the results that the student requires through tackling specific weaknesses and examination practice plus, helping the student understand and start to enjoy the subject more. In order to do this, I would focus on the curriculum and past papers, as well as explaining interesting wider applications. This approach will help the student form connections between the curriculum and things they find interesting, which is the perfect way to remember things and ace the exams!

In terms of qualifications that make me suitable for psychology tutoring, I recently graduated from the 4th best university in the UK (Durham University), with a high 2:1. This undoubtedly puts me in a great position to mentor and teach a subject that I am extremely passionate about.

In terms of qualifications that make me suitable for maths tutoring, I gained an A* in Maths GCSE, along with maximum marks in additional mathematics whilst at school. On top of this, I gained an A in Maths A level, alongside a B in Further Maths and have continued to improve my mathematical strengths through my numerate degree and an elective module I did in the maths department at Durham.

I believe that anybody can pass Maths GCSE and Psychology A level with the correct guidance, some people just need a helping hand to unlock their true ability. Plus, I feel that a young, enthusiastic teacher is the perfect tutor to help students excel and push for the highest grades.
