I’m a native Turkish speaker and a qualified Turkish language teacher, passionate about helping students discover the beauty of the Turkish language.
I graduated from the Turkish Language Teaching Department at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2005, and I’m currently based in London, offering private Turkish lessons for learners of all levels.
Whether you`re a complete beginner, looking to improve your fluency, or preparing for exams like GCSEs or A-levels, I tailor each lesson to suit your goals and learning style. My lessons are interactive, fun, and structured to ensure steady progress. We’ll focus on grammar, vocabulary, conversation skills, and comprehension, using customized materials, quizzes, and regular practice activities.
Planning a trip to Turkey? I also offer travel-focused lessons designed to equip you with essential phrases, basic vocabulary, and cultural insights to help you communicate with locals and enjoy a more immersive experience.
Lessons are available one-on-one, for pairs, or in small groups.

Nazan is an experienced tutor who has a structured method of teaching. She is clear, makes good use of learning materials and provides homework and revision materials to supplement the course units. She is well mannered and after a couple of lessons I am already seeing the progress. I would recommend to anyone wishing to learn Turkish.

Nazan has been my Turkish tutor for 8 months. I cannot recommend her enough. She is very thorough and prepares her lesson plans thoughtfully; she communicates her lesson plans in advance so I know what to expect; and she is very patient, which is very important for an adult learner of new languages. Nazan also adapted very quickly to a post-lockdown scenario, which meant that we were able to continue our lessons without a glitch. Lastly, she is incredibly generous with her time, which speaks volumes about her as a person as well. I cannot recommend her enough.

Nazan is a fantastic tutor. She sets the pace well for each lesson, and creates a good balance between learning new things and reinforcing what`s we`ve already learnt. She`s patient and focusses on building a good foundation for Turkish. I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
