I am a highly experienced A level Economics and Business studies teacher and AQA and Edexcel examiner. I am always interested in developing good relationships with my students and I am passionate and very knowledgeable about my subjects. I have marked A level papers for many years so have a lot of experience of what is required to achieve a high grade. I am proficeint in using technology in my teaching, preparing resources and an advocate of encouraging students to become effective independent learners.

Experience: I have been teaching A level Economics and Business studies for 25 years. I have been teaching in my current role at a large sixth form college for 25 years, have led course teams and act as Teaching and Learning Champion. I am very experienced in preparing young people for A level examinations. I am also the Extended Project Coordinator and Senior Team Moderator for AQA.Throughout my teaching career I have taught classes of mixed ability students. Being able to give one to one tuition has been a key skill needed to build confidence in students who are struggling to understand key concepts. My approach is to assist students in their understanding and then give them various tools to help them to undertake further study in their own time.
