Information about Carole
Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile.
My name is Carole and I am a qualified primary school teacher. After having my second child in December 2018, I decided to take a break from teaching to stay at home. However, I love my job and quickly realised I miss working with children and teaching. As a result, I decided to become a tutor!
Im a passionate and enthusiastic primary school teacher who likes nothing more than enabling children achieve that light bulb moment when they finally understand something they have been working towards. As a tutor I am able to provide a wide range of teaching materials, and help you locate resources, to help your child learn in a fun and engaging way to enable many light bulb moments to occur.
Working online or at home can be different to working in a classroom, but it still allows me to adopt the same teaching philosophy I believe in and practise within my classroom: growth mindset. Put simply, it means mistakes help us learn and move forward.
If you have any questions, please get in touch. I aim to reply within three hours - although it is often much sooner.
Availability: I am available now for Zoom tutor sessions Mon-Fri and possibly weekends.
I am available from September for face to face tutor sessions, subject to Covid-19 lockdown advice, at your home. From September I will also be continuing my Zoom tutor sessions.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have worked in education for 10 years. I began my journey as a teaching assistant and then decided to go to university to become a teacher.
I have experience is both KS1 and KS2 and with year 2 and 6 SATs practise.
I have tutored pupils for booster sessions and also have experience teaching new concepts to children.
