My students mostly bring me weekly questions or subject areas requiring extra help. We work through those together over a couple or more lessons. Often it will be the topic they are currently covering at school. This may require going over some foundation concepts from previous years if those aren`t fully mastered, in order to be able to move on to the current school level. I do an initial assessment to establish the student`s current level of understanding and build from there. However, I have covered the full syllabus working from beginning to end for a home schooled student - English IGCSE, Maths GCSE foundation tier, Combined Science IGCSE, Human Biology IGCSE, Geography IGCSE.

I believe that boosting a child`s self esteem is half the battle - empathetic support is crucial in freeing the student up to being open to learning as opposed to being defensive and feeling threatened.
I tailor tuition around your child`s learning style, I help provide your child with the skills to learn and foster a positive attitude to learning.

Availability: Weekday mornings for homeschoolers and weekday afternoons for students who attend school.

Experience: I have tutored primary and secondary school maths and English for 11 years and have recently tutored IGCSE combined science with a grade 8 pass achieved for an Aspergers student who studied the 2 year syllabus with me in 8 months (along with Maths, English and Geography)
