I have been tutoring full-time for several years,. I enjoy preparing top quality lessons for individuals geared to precise learning aims. As an examiner, I can work closely with pupils on techniques to significantly improve their results. Pupils and parents very often report that improved literacy skills have been noticed across other subjects too. This provides huge job satisfaction.

Availability: Lessons __ Monday to Friday from 9a.m to 8.30pm . Will tutor at weekends on request.

Students regularly text and send drafts, essays, plans etc to me to comment on and to provide constructive feedback.

Supplementary material such as articles, extension materials and exam practice materials are sent by me to students and their parent or carer. This is all part of my service.

Experience: I am a highly successful teacher of English Language and Literature with over thirty years` experience as Head of English Faculty, Senior Teacher and Examiner.

I am a long-term External Examiner for AQA and OCR at A Level and GCSE and offer experience of teaching a very wide range of skills and literature texts as set by different examination boards.

I have a good Honours Degree in English from a Russell Group university and an M.A from the Cambridge Institute of Education (University of Cambridge) and the University of East Anglia.
