PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT AVAILABLE FOR TUTORING AT PRESENT. I am an experienced teacher with a First Class Honours degree and a Master`s in Psychology. I am also an examiner for AQA, and have been for many years, and have marked all three papers. I have many years` experience teaching both at A level and undergraduate level. I tutor in my home office in Alton and live just 10 minutes` walk from Alton College, and 15 minutes` walk from Alton station. Lessons are one hour and cost £40. This includes marking one essay between lessons, with detailed feedback in the following tutorial.

My master`s degree included Advanced Experimental Design and Analysis. I actually enjoy research methods! So I consider this a particular strength in my teaching. I think my enthusiasm for my subject as a whole comes across in my tutorials. I find Psychology endlessly fascinating.

I take time to get to know my students and tailor lessons according to the individual`s needs. I endeavour to make lessons enjoyable while at the same time covering students` specific needs, be it study or essay-writing skills, exam technique or help with particular topics. I am happy to mark one essay or a few shorter questions between lessons (included in the fee). This helps me to structure the following tutorial to target students` needs.

Availability: As I am now semi-retired I can be usually fit in with students` other commitments. Students often come to me at the end of their college day.

Experience: As an experienced examiner with AQA I can provide valuable insights into the style and content that will bring the highest marks. I have also taught as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University on the level 2 undergraduate Psychology degree programme. I have taught Psychology A level for over 20 years and was head of department in my last two posts.
