Information about Jennifer
Hello, I am a highly experienced, enthusiastic teacher of Fine Art (Drawing, Printmaking, Painting)
I have had 19 years teaching experience in the United Kingdom teaching key stage 3 art, GCSE art and design and AS/A2 Fine Art (Ed excel/AQA)
I completed both my Bachelor of fine arts degree at Canterbury university, New Zealand (major: Painting, printmaking, minor: history of art) and my teaching diploma at Christchurch college of Education (NZ)
I have taught in various secondary schools both comprehensives and more recently private independent schools. I have tutored students for numerous years and have an excellent track record of helping students to find their niche in art and to gain confidence in using different techniques and processes - whether the focus is drawing, painting or printing!
I am a practising freelance artist and I frequently exhibit my work both in London and throughout the UK.
Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends.
I am also available during some weekdays.
I have my own studio space at home, with a Hunter Penrose printing press and printing/painting facilities.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have taught secondary school art: key stage 3 (year 7,8 and 9) through to GCSE and A level. Students have predominantly achieved A/A* and went on to study art at foundation level.
I have also had experience running craft activities for primary aged children.
