I am currently in my gap year and tutor maths at GCSE level online. I received A*s in maths, physics and electronics A-levels and am really passionate about anything maths related. I work hard and enjoy teaching others new things.I communicate with both the parent and student to ensure we cover content in the most efficient and understandable way possible. I utilise practice papers and the specification to find out what the student is unsure about and then focus on teaching that content in a simple yet in depth way. The use of targeted practice questions ensures a firm grasp of any previously problematic areas. My lessons are 1 hour long. During this time I will work through the theory and some practice questions of a specific area or areas and then set some extra practice questions for the student to complete in their own time, which we will go through at the start of the next lesson. I have previously worked in positions requiring me to teach children coding and maths and have volunteered at multiple coding camps for children under 18.
