Information about Albert
I am a Cambridge graduate who has worked with children in and out of education settings over many years. I believe academic success follows naturally when students are engaged in their subject, and I try to help my students nurture an appreciation for the richness of literature and the English language. We will cover all the practicalities of the course whilst looking for ways to make it enjoyable, enriching and relevant to their own lives.
Having worked with a wide range of young people with different academic and pastoral needs, I have developed a patient and flexible approach to supporting students. Recognising that each young person is a unique individual, I aim to meet them halfway and build a rapport, whilst drawing on my own passion for the subjects I teach and my knowledge of course expectations to offer clear and authoritative guidance.
My own academic history is one of exceptional achievement. I attended Westminster School, where I achieved 9 A*s and 1 A at GCSE, followed by the equivalent of 3 A*s and 1 A at A Level; for my Bachelor`s degree, I studied Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a 2:1.

Experience: I worked as a teaching assistant in St. Paul`s Way Trust School, where I organised and ran after-school tuition groups to help prepare GCSE students for their English Literature exams. Following on from this, I worked for two years in Gretton School, an independent specialty provision for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), providing classroom support and delivering lessons. More recently, I was part of the senior team in a children`s home for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
