Information about Mia
Hello All,
My name is Mia and I am currently looking to make tutoring my full time career. I think there is really something special in passing on knowledge and being able to inspire young minds. I am enthusiastic and passionate about learning and teaching and I truly believe 1-1 learning has the ability to see young minds excel where in a school setting children are able to hide amongst the numbers. Whether it be English or Maths I am willing to teach a variety of subjects including Art and Science from primary level to GCSE.
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: In University I spent some time tutoring my peers in Biomedical Science, group sessions were held as well as the occasional 1-1 session, I started this in my First Year and it continued until Second Year.
Currently I am tutoring my 10 year old (year 5) sister due to current circumstances. I am teaching her across the board with all necessary curriculum subjects being met. In maths she has gone from requiring extra classes at school to being seen on her maths class leadership board online. Her English classes range from literature to language occasionally excelling her year group curriculum. Whilst staying focused on the national curriculum I believe it is essential to teach real life lessons as well and therefore lessons also range from money skills and the current economy state to government affairs across the globe.
