I am from Colombia. Spanish is my mother tongue. I have a degree in Political Science and a Masters Degree in economics.10 years ago I qualified as a teacher of Spanish. I have worked in private and state schools and I am also a Spanish tutor catering for all abilities including A levels, and adult education. I am teaching Spanish GCSEs at [contact detail removed] as an optional course for the year 10 and 11 girls and doing extra-curriculum Spanish for A levels.
I use a variety of materials and teaching methods like games, for the understanding of grammar, authentic material like documentaries, books and songs in the target language and the use of technology. This makes the lessons more enjoyable and memorable.
The experience that I have had teaching with different age learners has given me the skills to plan my lessons and evaluate the pupils. I design my lessons to be stimulating through hands on activities and interesting resources, which makes them accessible to all types of learners. This helps the students to consolidate and enhance their knowledge and skills in writing, listening, speaking and reading. It also helps me to evaluate the students and make sure they are working towards their individual targets. During my time teaching languages at Primary schools I also had to do the schemes of work as well as the children’s reports.
I am a very energetic and positive person, organized and very committed to my work. . Ilove to teach my language and my culture.
