Hi! I am Tahsinul. I am currently an incoming third year medical student studying at the University of Cambridge having achieved a first class in both years. My qualifications include achieving 4 A* in my A Levels in Maths (>95%), Further Maths (>92%), Biology and Chemistry and in my GCSE`s I got nine 9`s and one 8. In the UCAT (which is entry exam for most UK medical schools) I achieved a score which was in the >99% percentile. In the BMAT which is the entry exam for Cambridge medicine I achieved scores in the top 5-10% in the MCQ sections. I thoroughly enjoyed the sciences and maths during school and find teaching subjects very satisfying and rewarding. I am offering tutoring in GCSE and A Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry and also tutoring in the UK medical school application process.

Availability: I am currently in my summer holidays of second year and therefore have great availability and very flexible schedule so am able to tutor at any time of the day 7 days a week.

Experience: I have over 200 hours experience tutoring the sciences from KS3 level to GCSE level and tutoring students in the UK medical school application process including UCAT, interview preparation and personal statement review. My approach to tutoring for maths, biology and chemistry is to discuss with students beforehand which topics they are struggling with/would like to be taught. Then prior to the session I will prepare materials (diagrams, PowerPoint slides, my own notes etc.) for the student which will explain the concept/topic and then I will assemble practice questions examining this topic. Therefore, once the session begins first I will explain the topic as succinctly and comprehensively as possible alongside the material I have prepared. Then we can dive into the practice questions to apply their knowledge and we can work through them explaining the thought processes underlying answers.
My approach to tutoring UK medical school applications is to provide my own advice and advice I have assembled from others and use this to guide students through the admissions exams, interviews and personal statement. The advice I give centres around what medical schools are looking for in applications, tactical applications and various strategies in exams and interviews to maximize your likelihood of admission.
