I`m Livia! A PhD student in Cancer Biology at Cambridge University. Although originally from Spain, I did my undergrad in Biomedical Sciences at UCL, which allowed me to get familiar with the UK teaching system and also to access amazing research opportunities. I`ve been interested in research since high school but kept changing my mind about what I wanted to research! So I did a pure sciences baccalaureate and took Biology, Chemistry and Physics alongside Philosophy, History and Spanish Language and Literature. Apart from studying I also dedicate my time to music (violin), which is my main hobby, as well as practicing University sports!

I remember that one thing that really motivated me in high school was getting small snippets of extra knowledge from my teachers on the subject that we were studying. This allowed me to put whatever was being taught in a wider context and also showed me how the things I was learning could be used/were applied in "real life" or to specific situations. My aim with tutoring is to not only just teach my students the syllabus, but to help them think about the subject and slowly paint the "bigger picture".
