I am currently a mathematics lead practitioner in a local secondary school. Prior to this, I was a Head of Maths for 8 years in Bromley secondary school. I am married with two children in year 9 and 11, so am aware of difficulties that our children are facing in their maths education.
As an experienced teacher, I am aware of key topics that need to be mastered to achieve the highest possible GCSE grade. I would look to cover these topics as well as any particular topics pupils are struggling with. Examples are discussed to check understanding before we focus on tackling exam questions on that topic. Leading up to the GCSE exam we would focus on whole exam papers, identifying and addressing any weaknesses.
