Information about Lloyd
I hold a DPhil (PhD), MSt, and Double First-Class Honours in English from the University of Oxford, where I am a Stipendiary Lecturer in Modern and Contemporary English Literature. Alongside this university experience, I have also worked extensively with secondary school students, having taught English and Media Studies at comprehensives in Lewisham and Kilburn. I have also supported students with Special Educational Needs and Disability in a range of roles and remain passionately committed to inclusion in education. I have lived and worked in France, where I earned a DELF B2 (fluent) diploma from the French Department of Education, and I am happy to offer French tuition.
I also have extensive experience working with children and young people as a leader and director in a variety of youth theatre groups. I have been heavily involved in both professional and student theatre, appearing on BBC Radio 4 and CBBC, and representing the University of Oxford in performances in London, Tokyo, Edinburgh, and at the International Student Drama Festival. I enjoy music and plays the piano and violin. I also enjoy writing, and have published articles and reviews in a variety of academic journals and publications such as the Times Literary Supplement and the Guardian, and have taken a sell-out sketch comedy show to the Edinburgh Fringe.
