I am currently teaching in a Year 6 class in a London school, leading the school in Maths and as a phase leader for upper school. I have been tutoring for 10 years.

I have a BEd teaching qualification and I am a Mathematics specialist, with additional training in Autism Spectrum Disorders, students with English as an Additional Language and challenging Higher Attaining learners.

My speciality is working with children who are below or working towards the expectations in mathematics for their year group and bringing them up to work within the standard for their age. In the last year KS2 SATs were held, my class earned the highest scaled scored for the borough in maths and grammar.

Availability: As I teach full time, I am available to teach outside of school hours.

My availability would depend on the location for the tutoring as this would impact on journey time, however I would be available after 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I am not available at weekends.

Experience: As well as being a full-time primary school teacher, having worked in schools in Jersey, Southampton, Winchester and London, I also have experience working 1:1 as a private tutor. These experiences have been both with primary, GCSE and A Level students, focusing primarily in Mathematics.

As I currently teach in year 6, I have key experience in preparing children for SAT tests at the end of the year, and particularly in supporting children who are struggling to meet Age Related Expectation.

In addition to this, I also have experience with children who have additional needs. My brother is Deaf and Autistic and I have worked in schools with additional provision for children with additional needs.
