Hi! My name is Karen. I`m an undergraduate PPE student at the University of Warwick looking to help secondary school students achieve their full academic potential.

I offer engaging, interactive tuition in English Literature, English Language, and Mathematics, tailoring each session to the student`s needs. My aim is to raise feelings of preparedness going into exams and to raise academic confidence more broadly. I firmly believe in the capabilities of each and every student to achieve their targets, and it is simply my job to lend a helping hand.

For each session, I will priorly ask the student for the topic or questions they would like some assistance with, allowing me to plan the hour accordingly. I can then help familiarise the student with the material before tackling a range of examples with the student step-by-step, ensuring they are left with the confidence and understanding to tackle such questions independently going forward.

My sessions are a space for students to ask any question they would like, to tackle any issue they might be struggling with. Raising a hand in a classroom full of students can be overwhelming and intimidating, which is why these sessions can be a great way to bring someone out of their shell and help them flourish.

Availability: I am currently taking on new students.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have experience tutoring mathematics at the GCSE level, meeting weekly with students to help in preparation for mock exams. Together we worked through a wide range of topics and questions, raising the difficulty as the students grew more confident with the material.
