Hi!

My name is Andy and I am an experienced employed at Calder High School as Maths Teacher (KS3+ 4), successfully taking Higher and Foundation Mathematics successful through the exams.

My degree is MEng Chemical Engineering with one year working in industrial placement), which I tired before and toke the I am original from Brighton and have lived in Hebden Bridge for two years.

I hold a 1st Class degree is MEng Chemical Engineering and have worked as a Process Improvement Engineer for one year (placement). I have found that coming from an Engineering background with experience in this field;; I am able to help my students form a methodical approach and attached the real life application of specific methods in GCSE and A-Level Mathematics.

I have taught Foundation and Higher GCSE Mathematics extensively from top sets and students achieving grade 9s, to helping lower attaining student make maximum progress. A particular area of expertise is helping the top end of foundation students achieve grade 4s and 5s.

I have experience teaching A-Level, but this is only one year. I am happy to offer tutoring for C1, C2 and M1 as I have taught these successful in a previous school but

I am an experienced Tutor and this year took on two students (Both GCSE Higher) who I tutored from my house (central Hebden Bridge).

Availability: I am looking for 1-2 hours of tutoring total so I am able to tailor my session to best meet the needs of the student.

Where I did both sessions for tutoring last acedemic year in our dining room. I have two small dogs (Poodle + Jack Ressull) and they love the attention!!

I have been teaching since 2011and have worked in a number of schools in South and West Yorkshire, with additional responsibilities that include Numeracy Coordinator and Assistant Head of Mathematics. Currently, I am a Maths Teacher at Calder High School in charge of coordinating Key Stage 3 (Year 7 - 9).

This year I taught two GCSE higher students who achieved a 5 and 6, the 6 is remarks off a 7!! WELL DONE and I am very proud of you both!!
