I am an enthusiastic, young teacher with a passion for mathematics. Last year I successfully qualified as a teacher, and I am currently in a period between jobs as I took time out to travel post qualification. I am good at explaining hard concepts by breaking them down and relating them to relevant things in the real world. I can provide worksheets with different style of questions and help with approaches to solving problems.

My undergraduate university degree is in Economics, so I am also available to teach that to A Level, helping with concepts as well as essay writing.

Availability: Any time from March 16th.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: Last year I taught taught mathematics full time to students in both KS3 and KS4. I loved developing resources for lessons and learnt the importance of varying tasks in lessons to make them accessible to all students. Over the course of the year all students grew in confidence in their mathematical ability, and self driven desire to improve their skills further. Presentations, educational games, use of iPads, scaffolded worksheets and where possible use of relevant examples helped all students to engage in the classroom. I will provide constructive feedback for students, highlighting misconceptions in the class and looking at conceptual errors to help move areas of weakness to those that students are confident at.

I also have previous experience working with KS2 students as a classroom assistant in maths, and taught A Level while qualifying as a teacher.

I am therefore able to tutor all levels and look foreword to developing confidence in students mathematical ability.
