Having gained a 2:i from Durham University I did my PGCE at Cambridge and have an enjoyed a long and varied career teaching Physics mostly in Surrey. I enjoy helping students strengthen their conceptual understanding and help them apply this to the common range of contexts that occur in assessments. In addition to this it is always fun to explore beyond the confines of the exam board specifications with more able students.
Outside of the classroom I am a father of three, a keen gardener and enjoy running, reading, watching sport and playing golf.

Experience: I have 30years of Physics teaching experience and 20 years of examining and have worked for all three major exam boards. I have prepared students for everything from Oxbridge entrance through to SATs and GCSE. I feel my extensive knowledge of exam specifications and assessment really helps with preparing students for external exams.
