** I am fully booked for individual lessons until at least September 2020 but have limited small group spaces available now starting from £25. *** I am an experienced teacher of over 20 years specialising in English. I have been a private tutor for 10 of those years and have found the job rewarding and inspiring. I love nurturing children in developing their confidence and independence to not only gain the skills, knowledge and understanding of English they need, but a passion for the subject. I have taught children from 5-13 years and can offer preparation for 11+, 13+, entrance exams, scholarships SATs and GCSE. I am also happy to support children who just need extra help with spelling, punctuation, creative writing, essays or comprehension. My friendly and engaging teaching style combined with high expectations means that children look forward to my lessons, achieve great results, and parents feel supported and reassured.

Availability: Monday-Friday evenings,
Saturday and Sunday 9-4pm

Alternatively, I am running 11+ preparation courses in the Summer holidays in Wallington, a GCSE revision course at Easter as well as 11+, key stage 3 and GCSE groups. Experience: Over 20 years working in state primary and prep schools. Worked as Head of English in several schools. I have tutored for more than 10 years, preparing children for entrance to all Sutton grammar schools as well as prestigious private and public schools such as Eton and Westminster. I have worked with GCSE students taking the new exam in 2017 for English Language and Literature to target the top grades. I have also supported degree students with dissertation writing.
