Hi and thank you for viewing my profile :)

My name is Jason I am offering chemistry tuition for young people requiring assistance in their GCSE and A-level courses. I have a First Class Masters degree and a PhD in chemistry which I obtained from St Andrews University in Scotland. I love teaching and enthusing young minds about my subject and have had great success in assisting several to realise their potential and in all cases so far achieve A grades.

I don`t believe in reading textbooks to those I tutor nor do I assume a role of `teacher`, which inevitably places barriers between myself and the student. Instead I adopt a discursive platform so that they can guide me in where they may have misunderstandings or difficulties.

Finally I try to keep the sessions light, fun and interesting and ultimately the student engaged so they learn and understand as much as they can.

Availability: Evenings and Weekends.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: I have tutored several young people, including two who needed A grades to get into Veterinary School both are now studying Veterinary medicine at University :)
