Hi! My name is Simran. I`m a 4th Year medical student and would love to help you through your studies.

I adore teaching and have been tutoring for around 8 years in total!

Being a medic, I have a variety of skills that make me a great choice as a tutor - these include everything from being friendly, approachable and engaging (making our online classroom a safe and fun space to learn), to being patient when working through problems, and being clear when explaining things. I am more than happy to adapt to the way my student learns best, and over the years have experimented with a variety of techniques for different learners - just let me know what you would like, and we`ll work towards it together! Creating an optimal learning environment for you is my priority :)

Experience: At GCSE, I achieved six 9s, one 8, one 7 and two A*s. At at A-level, I achieved A*A*A, alongside an A* in EPQ and an A in Additional Mathematics.

I have been tutoring since I was in Year 10 across a range of subjects, including Biology & Chemistry (Science), Maths and English. I also have experience in assisting students with their academic writing assignments and in teaching medical content.

Additionally, as part of my medical curriculum I have studied how to be an effective teacher, and during my time on the wards, I have learnt how to take complicated concepts and break them down into simpler, manageable chunks for a patient - this creates a solid foundation to build on as gradually or as quickly as the person desires. I have found this a skill to be very transferrable to my tuition sessions with students.
