1. NORWEGIAN LESSONS
I am a Norwegian tutor and postgraduate researcher at the University of Surrey and I offer Skype lessons for those who want to learn how to speak and write Norwegian.

My style of teaching is unique and allows you to learn the language very quickly. I have taught English in secondary school and my lessons tackle language barriers particular to native English speakers whilst taking full advantage of the linguistic similarities, allowing you to bridge the two languages in no time.

About my Norwegian lessons:
A focused learning environment without distractions is crucial when learning a language. Facial expressions and body language are very distracting and students learn far better through guided online tuition because the focus is on listening, speaking, reading and writing. My lessons are very intense, but allow you to absorb the language in a very natural fashion. Skype lessons also allow for more flexibility in case you need to reschedule/cancel lessons at short notice.


If you are planning to move to Norway for work, study (and need to take Bergenstesten) or simply want to learn a new language, these lessons are perfect for you!


5 lessons: £160 (£32 per lesson)
10 lessons: £280 (£28 per lesson)

Otherwise the rate is £50 per lesson.

(1/2 hour is £30)

*Note to new students: I am happy to speak about any topic you might be interested in except political topics (e.g. Brexit, Trump, immigration, Greta Thunberg). Otherwise I`m happy to read and discuss with you any historical, cultural, environmental or scientific topics.

Availability: I am available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Experience: I have 7 years experience working as a Norwegian tutor.

I have also worked two years as a political science teacher at university level and two years as a social science teacher at a sixth form college. For the past two years I have tutored GCSE Maths and Science at a Harris Academy.
