On the personal and practical side, I am empathetic and supportive since my own children have recently been through the exam system and I am only too aware of the challenges young people and their parents face! I am able to communicate in an accessible and interesting way through a down to earth yet inspirational approach and offer excellent exam preparation, geared not only to past papers, but also in general exam technique. I hold a current DBS certificate.

Experience: I have a PhD in English Literature, an M.A. in English and an undergraduate degree in English and History. I am a highly qualified and experienced tutor, teacher and part-time university lecturer and have been running my own tuition business in Bournemouth for 14 years. I offer friendly, relaxed and motivational tuition in English Language, English Literature, History and Philosophy at all levels (University, GCSE, AS/A level, and adult learners), and have many references from previous pupils and parents which attest to my success and professionalism.
