I am currently taking a gap year before a natural sciences degree. I am very passionate about helping tackle complex topics in the sciences as well as encouraging new ways of thinking to solve issues. I am an A level and GCSE tutor specialising in Biology and Chemistry and had extensive involvement with the biology department at my school. During my A-levels I employed strategies to help fine tune revision which I found to be successful at making me more efficient. I intend to implement these strategies here to target weaknesses more effectively and tune a revision plan when necessary.

Outside of the classroom I would engage in further reading in biology and chemistry which I would then present at clubs and societies offered by the school and was able to develop communication skills and effective ways of conveying key information to listeners to help bring them up to speed. Being involved with the departments I also helped out younger years with their biology revision for GCSE and so am confident with explaining concepts and getting people to think about them.

Public speaking at clubs, societies and events about scientific topics.
Have experience helping younger years as biology prefect for a year and have tutored for the 11+.
