Maths GCSE and Ks3 is my business!

I am a fully qualified maths teacher with 20 years teaching at GCSE, Ks3 and A Level. I am a Graduate in Mathematics and Management Sciences from Hull University and have A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics. In addition I have also worked as a Hotel Manager and Management Consultant prior to becoming a teacher so I know how maths is applied in the real world. I have tutored students during my career as I feel this is how I can make the biggest difference. I also feel that the pressure is on schools to cover the ever changing curriculum and have seen the benefit first hand of the impact good tuition can have in plugging gaps in knowledge, building confidence and improving grades.I also feel that tuition must be tailored exactly to fit the student.I have up to date knowledge of the New GCSE specification, have taught students working towards most exam boards and can help meet all your maths tuition needs.I can also offer guidance and support with other subjects.I am willing to travel within Warrington and surrounding areas, and offer discount rates for siblings and small group work.

Availability: I currently available Monday - Friday Evenings
from 4pm - 8pm and some daytime slots for College Students

Experience: I have spent 20 years working in Secondary Schools teaching maths in KS3, GCSE at all levels in KS4, resit maths in KS5 and A Level. I have experience successfully preparing pupils for GCSE with OCR, Edexcel and AQA examination boards.

I have worked in primary schools with small intervention groups and Gifted and Talented groups.
I have also organised a number or primary maths workshops. I have also tutored pupils in year 5 and 6 in preparation for 11+ and entrance exams.

I have worked with the Campaign for Learning developing effective teaching strategies and completing classroom based research a project led by Newcastle University.
