Information about April
My name is April and I am a qualified primary school teacher. I have spent the last two years working in Reception as a Phonics Lead. I have also worked as a supply teacher and creative writing tutor, and have therefore gained a lot of experience across the different year groups.
Availability: Monday - Friday - 6pm onwards (can be flexible)
Saturday/Sunday 8-4pm (can be flexible)
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I graduated University with a First Class Honours degree in Education and was rated `Outstanding` in all three teaching placements. I have been teaching in Reception for the last two years and have taken on the responsibility of `Phonics Lead`, ensuring that the teaching of reading is of the highest quality. I have also worked as a supply teacher and tutored creative writing, and therefore have an abundance of experience with a range of different children and needs. This allows me to adapt my teaching style to suit each individual child. I aim to make my tutoring as fun, active and hands-on as possible, enabling each child to reach their full academic potential.
