Experience:

With over 8 years of experience teaching Mathematics, I have gained a wealth of insight into how students learn best and how to adapt my tutoring style to help them attain the best results they can achieve. I have worked as a classroom assistant for 1.5 years in independent educational services Kumon, as well as several primary schools in London. My students have ranged from as young as 5 years old to professionals working in the city.

After graduation, I have worked at a bilingual school to teach mathematics to Year 3, Year 5 and Year 10 students (Cambridge iGCSE syllabus). I have also taught online using screen-sharing and touchscreen to provide interactive and live lessons digitally to students who prefer online lessons.

Teaching style:

I am hardworking, friendly, and patient with my tutees! I am an approachable and friendly tutor. I like my students to fully understand the topics being discussed so what I focus on the most is getting them to actually understand the core base or foundation of the chapter/ topic in the syllabus as I believe that is the most important thing when it comes to progressing in your learning. If one way of explaining something fails, I will try again with another way!

- Full time mathematics teacher at a bilingual school for Year 3, Year 5 and Year 10. I developed lesson plans to make lessons fun and interactive, crafted activities and games to support learning via practice, and feedback to parents via individual student reports.
- Kumon education center assistant. I supported students on their understanding in English and Mathematics, and assessed submitted student written work on a mass scale.
- Private tutored English to Japanese students in London, teaching them intermediate English grammar and assisting with reading, writing, listening and speaking improvement
- Private tutored Japanese from zero-knowledge level to conversational level: students ranged from middle school to working city professionals
- Private tutoring mathematics of various ages, predominantly in lower middle and upper middle (GCSE) mathematics: 8 years experience.
