Information about Bethan

Hi, I`m Bethan, I am 22 years old and have recently graduated in Geography from the University of Bristol. During my time at Bristol, I undertook a variety of Human and Physical Geography modules studying an array of topics ranging from sustainability to glaciology to development. Whilst this proves the strength of my academic ability, I believe it is more important to discuss my passion and enthusiasm for my subject - Geography! Geography has always been a great passion of mine, it is incredibly relevant and applicable to the world around us as everything can be understood and interpreted from a Geographical perspective. I believe that a successful tutor is one that is passionate as personally, nothing is more inspiring than being taught by someone who loves their subject. Combined with long-term tutoring experience, I want to pass on my enthusiasm for my subject and help you achieve the best you can.

Availability: I am available to tutor during both the week and weekends; this includes evenings.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: During my final year at school I was Deputy Head Girl and House Captain, undertaking various public speaking tasks and having a significant impact on school life. As a Student Commission Ambassador I helped students diversify learning, furthering my leadership skills whilst gaining confidence at working with a varied range of pupils and teachers. Whilst I was at school for a year I helped young children at the local primary school learn how to read; this also involved helping on school trips along with general classroom activities. Moreover, I am an Ambassador for the Holocaust Education Trust. This involved a variety of workshops analysing Holocaust discourses, and after visiting Auschwitz I ran several history lessons at school, for children between the ages of 11-16, discussing my experience. For my Duke of Edinburgh I became a Sunday School Assistant, both leading my own sessions and helping other leaders with their work.
