Information about Emily
I graduated from University College London (UCL) with a 1st class degree in Medicinal Chemistry in September 2017 and was delighted to receive the Parke Davis Prize for the `Most distinguished work in Medicinal Chemistry` amongst my peers. Currently I am pursuing my passion for scientific research as a final year Medicinal Chemistry/Chemical Biology PhD student at Imperial College London. I have completed A-level Mathematics (A*), Chemistry (A), Biology (A), Physics (A), Accounting (A) and Modern Greek (A) at school, as well as additional IGCSEs in Geography (A*), French (A*), English as a first language (A) and English Literature (A*), providing me with a very diverse and multi-disciplinary background.
Currently working at White City, however I am willing to travel to tutees in central London, offer tuition at home (Brixton) or online.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: Over the last 8 years I have worked with students helping them with school work and preparing them for their GCSE (Maths, Chemistry, Physics), AS (Chemistry and Biology), A-level (Chemistry and Biology) and university foundation exams (Chemistry for Pharmacy). This accounts for more than 400 hours of combined teaching experience. I am familiar with the specifications from a variety of exam boards (Edexcel, AQA, OCR) and can tailor sessions accordingly. Additionally, I have been teaching undergraduates at Imperial for the last three years, assisting in laboratory classes, delivering tutorial sessions and small problem classes.
During the covid-19 pandemic, I have adapted my lessons to be delivered online and recieved great feedback from my students so far.
