Laura

Currently undertaking my PhD in entomology and molecular biology at Rothamsted Research in Harpenden. My name is Laura and I am a young scientist really keen on education and teaching. My work focuses on wild pollinator species such as the bumblebee and how bee learning and memory interacts with abiotic and biotic stressors.

Availability: Available week day evenings.

Experience: My educational background is in biology, having received a BSc first class honours degree from the University of Bath, working for a conservation NGO for a year and now working towards my PhD in Biology at Rothamsted.

I have prior experience in teaching roles, having worked for 3 months as a nature and environment teacher for pupils aged 10-18 in a summer school in New York. I am also currently a STEM ambassador and have run several outreach events this year aiming to teach children and adults about science.
