Information about Tim
I am a senior examiner for A Level AQA and GCSE AQA Economics. Before teaching, I also spent 15 years working in the city for HSBC. I have tutored students in AQA, OCR and Edexcel A Level Economics. I am currently teaching at a school in Chelmsford, so the distance I can travel could be affected by this, and have been teaching since 2004.
Availability: I am happy to tutor one to one or in groups, and use my examiner experience to focus on exam technique, with a focus on good technical literacy.

Experience: I have taught Economics for over 14 years in an outstanding secondary school in Redbridge. I have been a head of Business and Economics for nearly 10 years. I teach GCSE Economics, AS and A level. Paper 1 and Paper 2 at AS, and then specialised in Paper 2 & 3 at A level.

Tim recently really helped my son with A-level Economics in particular past papers and marking schemes - he was worried about how to answer some of the longer questions in the exam and Tim helped him feel more confident about how to approach these. I would definitely recommend.

My son has been having sessions with Tim for a few weeks now. Tim is well organised, obviously knows the syllabus very well and is very helpful with things like exam technique. Also he has a good manner and I think my son is enjoying his lessons. Its early days but I`m hopeful the tutoring will help my son achieve good results in his A levels.

My son needed help with A level resits. Tim has been helping with exam technique and how to effectively structure answers, in particular to 15 and 25 marker questions. He has helped filled gaps in his knowledge and given invaluable advise in the limited time we have before exams start. Tim is professional and patient and I feel very fortunate to have found him. Tim has been tutoring my daughter in A level Economics since January and it has already made a huge difference to her performance. Her grades have increased significantly and Tim has been great at explaining things in a memorable way as well as giving advice on essay structure etc. Her confidence has really grown and she is now aiming at exceeding her predicted grades, which is fantastic. Very professional and reliable. My son was struggling with Economics and keeping up with the pace of A levels, Tim took his time explaining in detail what he was missing in the classroom. Tim is an excellent tutor: he is very experienced; has up-to-date knowledge of the exam criteria and supported my son from a C to A grade in A level Economics! My son struggled with writing essays at a high level and Tim taught him how to structure his writing so that he answered the question in a precise and reasoned way. Tim built up a good rapport with my son. He was punctual and professional throughout the 18 months.
