I am a full-time professional private tutor, specialising in science and maths, for the past 20 years. Lessons are 1 to 1 and in small groups, and I can tutor online or in person. I have helped students gain knowledge and understanding, boost confidence and achieve excellent grades.

I use a variety of teaching styles and apply several strategies, according to the needs of the student. Lessons are interactive, with a focus on exam technique and past paper practice in order to encourage students to succeed.

My enthusiasm to teach captures the attention of the students and helps them gain an interest in the subject. This results in motivated students who want to put the hours in to get the grade. I am patient and approachable, so students do not hesitate to ask even the simplest question. Most importantly, I am aware of the struggles and obstacles that students can experience through their educational journey.

Many of my students become independent thinkers and learners, and go on to pursure future careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and optometry.

Availability: I am available full-time, weekdays and weekends from 9am to 9pm.

Experience: I have been tutoring for the past 20 years, teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths up to A level across all examination boards to individuals as well as small groups. I have lectured at universities teaching science and engineering to 1st year degree students.
I have worked closely with students at all levels and all abilities (including SEN), with an excellent success rate. I have trained mature students who are pursuing a career in teaching.
