With 15 years of teaching experience and 23 years as a private maths tutor, I believe that the most important thing is to improve the student’s confidence, as this will always enable them to make good progress. I quickly form positive relationships with my students which helps them to feel at ease, and tailor every lesson to the individual’s requirements and learning style. I have particular experience working with dyslexic students and like to find personalised ways to accelerate their learning. I offer a complimentary first lesson so that students can experience my tuition without any obligation to continue. However, previous students have always returned for future lessons. My current students (and their parents!) are delighted with the progress they are making.


Outside of work I am a mum of two, and spend my leisure time running a local children’s choir where it is amazing to witness the way that increasing confidence by gradually raising the challenge always enables children to reach their full potential.

Experience: I have been a primary school teacher for 15 years and specialised in teaching science and demonstrating maths lessons to student teachers. I have privately tutored maths students up to GCSE level since 1993. The feedback I have received from my students and their parents has always been extremely positive.
