Tom (Tutor in Abingdon)
Information about Tom
I am an A-level student who has just graduated from my last year at Abingdon School. I studied Maths, Economics, and Chemistry, with predicted grades of A, A and A respectively. At GCSEs, I achieved 5xA, 1xA, 2x9, 2x8, and a B in additional mathematics (9xA, 1xA, 1xB). I went through the application process for Economics and Management at Oxford for September 2020, and have currently accepted a place to study Economics at UCL in September.
I mentored year 9 boys this year, helping them settle into school, and have also been guiding my younger brother (Year 10) through the start of his GCSE courses. I was a House Prefect at school and captained the school rowing team. I am well versed in online learning, having had a month or two of Zoom lessons in April and May, using online textbooks, google classroom, and google drive.
Having just finished the secondary school experience, I am in a good place to advise those at the start of their journey on how to make the most of every opportunity available to them, and to help them excel in their academics.
Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: Mentoring to Year 9 boys at my school (non-academic).
Tutoring younger brothers through early GCSE and 13+ preparation.
