Information about Harri
**Currently offering online tuition over Zoom with a virtual whiteboard**
First hour-long session is free.
I`m Harri, I`m a MEng Mechanical Engineering graduate from The University of Sheffield.
I`m friendly, professional and enjoy science and maths. I am able to help students boost their confidence with Maths and Science GCSE and A Level and help them achieve their potential.
The best teachers I had at school were enthusiastic about the subject, good at listening, supportive and encouraging. I am patient, have good communication skills and enjoy adapting to try to explain concepts. I also achieved A* in Maths GCSE and A Level and A* in Physics A Level so have a good understanding of how to achieve the top grades.
I am willing to help tutees work through problems or concepts they are finding challenging and help prepare them for exams, and I can make maths fun! (honest)
Please have a look at my tutoring subjects and reviews from previous students. Do get in touch, I would love to help out.
Harri
Availability: Let me know what day and time you`re looking for and I will do my best to accommodate your availability.
My schedule changes as I work part-time shifts in the NHS alongside tutoring.
Willing to travel: 2 miles
Experience: I have over 100 hours of experience.
I have tutored 20+ students, helping out with Science GCSE, Maths GCSE, Maths A Level and Physics A Level, providing long-term support to 12 students preparing for GCSEs and A Levels.
One of my students achieved a Grade 9 in Maths and Science GCSE after being predicted a Grade 7. Another student was worried about not achieving a Grade 4 in Science GCSE because of lack of confidence/interest in Physics. She ended up getting a Grade 6 and told me "she didn`t mind Physics that much anymore".
I have experience working with school students from a STEM Engineering in Schools Scheme I was involved with during my industry placement year and I volunteered at a youth Gymnastics club and Beaver Scouts for my Duke of Edinburgh Awards.
