I am a qualified English Teacher with experience of both one-to-one and small group tuition. I have always been passionate about English as a subject. From critical analysis to creative writing, English allows the development of a broad range of skills which are not only powerful in the classroom, but are also incredibly valuable in the wider world. My love of English at school lead me study English Literature at Newcastle University, where I received a First Class Honours Degree.
I went on to complete a PGCE in Secondary English, which has equipped me with a thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum and requirements of different examination boards. I also understand the importance of literacy skills for all subjects. Working with young people throughout my teacher training was wonderful experience, and it is hugely rewarding to watch each person apply their own skills and ideas to English. Through tuition, I hope to help students play off their own strengths, as well as strengthening areas for development. I offer sessions in Literacy, GCSE English Language and Literature, and A-Level English Literature.
I hold a clean, valid driving license and can travel to you, or provide online tuition.

Availability: I have a range of time slots available, both during the day and after school hours.
