Hello! I am a Cambridge University graduate with a degree in English Literature and teach English at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. I also specialise in Oxbridge applications, including support with personal statements and mock interviews.

My approach is supportive and tailored to the needs of the individual student. In order to encourage and develop confidence I will usually start from a text that the student enjoys or an essay the student has completed at school, and work from there in accordance with the curriculum the student is follo.

My professional background is in the advice sector and I have 3 years of experience providing tailored advice on legal issues (housing, benefits, etc.) in a way that is accessible to people from a range of backgrounds.

During COVID-19 I am conducting the majority of my tuition online over Zoom. Face-to-face sessions are available if you are able to travel to my home which is very close to Sutton Coldfield high street.

Availability: Weekdays, evenings and weekends

Experience: I have tutored students with a range of abilities at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level. I also have experience with supporting successful university applications including Russell Group universities, Oxford and Cambridge.

For preparation for university applications I employ a `Cambridge supervision` style. I will work with them to choose and analyse preparatory reading for these applications, expanding their knowledge, reading and analysis skills so that they are ready for university-level study.

I am especially confident supporting students with learning disabilities and autism and am happy to adapt to the needs of the individual. Let`s talk about your needs and learning styles so you can get the most out of our sessions.
