Information about Csilla
My name is Csilla and I am an experienced native Hungarian female tutor. I live in Edinburgh with my husband and we have a daughter. I have been teaching for several years as a private tutor.
Availability: I provide one-to-one tuition. If a pupil wants to form a small group with a friend, that might also be possible. Lessons via skype are also possible.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I love teaching and helping people of all ages to achieve their goals. I understand the difficulties of learning Hungarian as I deal with this everyday at home and for this reason it`s easy for me to put myself in the shoes of an English speaking person trying to make sense of Hungarian grammar, tenses, vocabulary or expressions. Grammar is my strong point but I also enjoy conversation about cultural/social or any kind of topics. My way of teaching is very interactive and enjoyable but always focusing in the key aspects that will help the student to understand the Language in a way that makes sense for him/her. Teaching Hungarian is my passion and I hope to transmit my enthusiasm into students. Learning Hungarian is much more than passing an exam and the effort students make to study this subject should help them to enjoy travelling to a Hungarian speaking country and discover the beauty of other cultures. Hungarian is spoken in: Hungary, Austria, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Hungarian is one of the official languages of the European un ion and is spoken predominantly in Hungary, but also spoken by Hungarian communities in a number of neighbouring countries. It is a part of the Uralic language family, like Finnish and Estonian, and it is most closely related to Mansi and Khanty. In Hungarian itself, the name of the language is Magyar, which is sometimes used in English as well in reference to the language or to the Hungarian ethnicity. Hungarian speakers worldwide: 13 million

Csilla is a friendly, motivated tutor. Her one on one style of teaching has helped me understand Hungarian at my own pace. She is very positive and encouraging and very easy to be around.
