Hi

I am a fully qualified Teacher and practicing Artists. I graduated from Norwich University College of the Arts, with a Ba Hons 1st Class in Visual Studies (2009) and have just successfully passed an MA in Communication Design (2021).

I was lucky enough to jointly win the Yorkshire Sculpture Parks Education Bursary 2011-2012 and worked with over 6000 students during that year of all ages and abilities. My Arts Educator experience also includes working regularly with the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, and numerous schools, colleges and private study groups across the county and beyond.

As a result of a strong association with the environment sector professionally I have created a number of education programmes within this sphere also.Tutoring roles also include regularly working with UEA students from a variety of Science based degrees on core modules in Communication, Nature and Community and Science Education.

In addition to Art, I have written my first novel, have supported those wishing to learn English as a second language and tutored individuals in a number of settings towards English qualifications.

I enjoy working with individuals of all abilities and ages, who are either working towards qualifications, or have an interest they wish to pursue, or are just curious and want to ";have a go";.

I also Mentor a number of young people, offering support through tough times, whatever the reason and art/craft/creativity/writing is often a good starting point.

Experience: Work contractually on Environmental and community based projects where Art and Science are key to project outcomes

Design and deliver tailored tutoring packages, to individuals and groups that reflect an inclusive and differentiated approach to learning styles and abilities.

Created large scale public arts events , mentored artists to reach their professional goals, delivered numerous group and 1-2-1 workshops in fine art skills, creative research, photography, collage, creative stitching, and new media and photo manipulation and editing.

Have worked with over 6000 students as an Arts Educator as part of Educational Bursary, with students from age 5 to 19, of all abilities including Gifted and Talented and high dependency special education students.

Have worked as volunteer Tutor at City College on Access to Art and FDa Well being Courses.

I have worked on numerous community based projects that offer Art as an activity for all and commissioned to design and deliver workshops and arts activities for many institution, including ";COAST";: Cromer & Sheringham Arts Festival, ";White Noise Festival";, Norwich Science Day, commissioned by Institute of Food Research, Fairhaven Water Gardens Trust, The John Innes Centre, The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and many more.


Have exhibited own work across the UK and several artworks are now held in private and institutional collections

I have 20 years experience within recruitment and graduate and school leaver careers advice from my past career.
