I’m passionate about my subject and about getting the best from my students. I always aim to cover the entire syllabus with my students in whatever time we have. In this way I can develop a very clear understanding of where their weaknesses lie and therefore which areas need the most attention. My sessions are always tailored to individual needs and learning styles and geared towards achieving specific goals. There is a lot of focus on skills as well as subject content so that students can gain an understanding of how to approach exam questions and what is required of them when answering in order to maximise marks. I expect to see improvements in my students’ understanding and confidence within a few sessions and this normally leads to improved test results fairly quickly. Ultimately this can lead to them achieving their target exam grade, giving them more choices for further study and careers.

Availability: Monday to Wednesday 4pm to 8pm. I can teach face to face locally or anywhere else online.

Experience: I’ve been teaching physics A level and GCSE physics, chemistry, biology and maths for many years in comprehensive, grammar and independent schools. In my roles as head of physics and head of science I have a track record of improving results and uptake of science subjects. As a former A level physics examiner for AQA I have considerable insight into what is expected of students when answering exam questions.
