Hi!

My name is Jordan and I am a tutor with a strong academic record. I am personable and fun and I make sure that each lesson is tailored to the tutee.

I was born in Worcester and educated at the local sixth form college, where I studied English Literature (A*), History (A), and Mathematics (A). I studied history at Mansfield College, Oxford, where I received a scholarship. I am now living in London and tutoring part-time whilst studying a taught master`s in Political Theory part time at the London School of Economics.

My approach to tutoring is student-driven and based around the student actively participating in my lessons. Each lesson is tailored to their own needs and concerns and we tackle the topics that they find most challenging. I build the student`s confidence by ensuring they are an active participant in the lesson and find ways to ensure that they enjoy rising to the challenge.

As we tackle more material, I make sure that we regularly revisit what we`ve learnt in previous weeks. Recapping our progress at the beginning of each lesson means that new-found knowledge sticks in my student`s long-term memory and reinforces knowledge from previous lesson. The result is that they will be prepared when exam time comes around.

I will measure progress by ensuring my student regularly practises exam-based questions that reflect their exams. I provide constructive feedback on each question and we will focus on the areas that the student found challenging.
